Good Afternoon from the RGM Watch Company.
Some of you may have had the chance to visit us
at RGM during last year's Convergence, but I thought
I would give those of you who may not have had the
opportunity to take a look around RGM.
And yes, there is this years upcoming Convergence to
get a hands-on in 2003.

I wish I had saved the images of our building as it was a Bank before the
restoration into our new building (the disk flew away).
We have much more room these days in our Repair and Restoration facility
downstairs.  In the early days we were cramped in a small workshop at the
Murphy residence, but it always made for a nice beer and pizza break every
now and then.

The fellows downstairs are always
busy. Marty Hugo, our Service manager,
and 2 other watchmakers being the North
American service center for the likes of
Girard Perregaux, Daniel JeanRichard,
Ventura, Kobold, and of course RGM.
I have learned so much by listening and
asking questions as well as some very
minimal hands on. The best is to be able
to look over their shoulders and be nosey -
and yes I am always asking questions.

When it comes to Watchmaking it drives
me insane to see the tools galore, and not
to poke fun or anything.
When you go downstairs and see a watchmaker
on his hands and knees, and a very serious look
on his face, walk gingerly. They break out the big magnet and they are in search of a needle in a haystack, and they always ( usually ) get their lost prize.

Then we make our way upstairs for a quick look.  This is where Roland, Myself (Rich) ,
Mike and Karen reside. Mike is our shipping and receiving gent. Karen makes sure we have electricity, and all those numbers I try to stay away from. I always tell her that I spend the money and she tries to keep the money.

Finally at the end of the hall to your right
is my office. I keep track of Operations at
RGM, making sure RGM's are in stock,
communication with Europe, as well as the
wonderful opportunity to sit down with Roland
and design watches. Yes, I have many other
functions but let's not get into that stuff.

Actually Roland and Myself were going over
a few details in his office this afternoon.
What was the conversation?  "WELL" we went
over our project that we have for those who
make their own Custom Watches. Also a couple
of projects upcoming for Equation of time, and the
really fun part .....The next couple of watches for RGM.

All in all a day at work, for myself. I enjoy the time here at RGM and it provides me
a great opportunity to express myself as an artist in many ways.
I look forward to sharing many wonderful things that we are doing here at RGM .
Hope you enjoyed the brief visit.

I hope to meet you at the next Convergence 2003 .
